Assignment 3—FLO Discussion participation
Mode of submission: Online through FLO as a word document with an assignment
cover page.
Graded
Weighting: 10%
Length: At least a 200 word posting by the student from each of the
three modules.
Due date: Monday of week 14 by 11.00 am
Students will be required to choose three of their discussion postings (one from each
module) to submit as assignment 3 and this will then be graded. As an external topic,
students will be expected to post answers posed in their Study plan in each of the three
modules. This will be guided by the contents of the course and problem based learning and
will be monitored by the topic coordinator. It is expected that students will engage on a
weekly basis in the discussion forum, however, this is flexible within the semester
requirements. You are encouraged to move ahead of the weekly work working at a faster
pace if you so wish. Participation is expected on at least a fortnightly basis by each student.
Weekly postings are also an option and this is up to the student. Informal discussion,
questioning and commenting are also encouraged.
There are three modules to this topic and students are to choose one of their discussion
postings in each of the three modules to submit for assessment. These ‘best’ three posti ngs
by each student are to be put into a word document with an assignment cover sheet and
submitted under assignment 3. These will then be graded as to their depth and level of
referencing to the literature, readings and/or case studies. Feedback will be provided
throughout the semester in response to student postings.

Failure to submit and Extensions
Failure to submit by the due date will incur a penalty mark deduction of 5% per working
day. If there are extenuating circumstances for an extension this must be applied for before
