The overall assessment strategy for this module is a negotiated assignment of 5000 words or equivalent. This means that you could negotiate an alternative mode of presentation including a video (approx. 30 minutes), a website or a negotiated combination of written, video and webbased presentation.In any case, the assignment must include the following components:  Selection of a technological tool of your preference, to integrate in a learning/teaching activity  Literature review about the use of that particular tool (or category of tools) in education, including research evidence for its pedagogical value  Justification of selecting the particular tool (based on both your experience/teaching needs and the literature)  Design of the technology-based educational activity (considering the goals and outcomes of the activity, the specific context (place- and time-wise) in which the activity will take place, yours and your students’ readiness to technology and possible obstacles to the integration)  Plan for evaluation (addressing what data or information is needed to determine whether or not you have achieved your goals, the methods you will collect those data, how you will analyse the data and how do you plan to disseminate the findings).
You may use all appropriate and relevant references available, but you are also strongly encouraged to exploit the module theory and bibliography for the purposes of this assignment.
